Artistic Statement

Stephen Elson retired from work and now lives in Whitley Bay. His paintings are inspired by the landscapes and seascapes of the North East coast. He is fascinated by the varying colours and moods of water, boats and reflections, and the diversity of nature and the patterns it produces.
