Artistic Statement

I have been painting in oils for decades and in that time have covered a range of subjects. Nature/landscapes have always interested me, especially how the fall of light can affect the appearance of things and transform colours, etc. I love to roam in the forests throughout the seasons watching them change dramatically.

Another subject I have covered over the years is sport, especially football. I have ben commissioned by a number o Premiership clubs over the years including Newcastle United, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur as well as Glasgow and Rangers. I also enjoy equine subjects and my pieces have been displayed at a number of racecourses around the country, including York, Doncaster, Newcastle, Kelso and Bath. I also appeared in Sky Landscape Artist of The Year in 2013.
