Born 1973 in South Shields Kevin started to paint and draw from a young age nurtured by his grandfather and mother. Using mostly oil and charcoal his subjects vary but with one common purpose which is to respond to the light and feel of a moment and communicate this to the viewer. More commonly known for figurative narrative works which have gained him success and collectors as far afield as Australia, Italy and the USA. He also prefers to work in a similar way to those that influenced him, such as Sargent and Anders Zorn, by painting everything around him whether it is a mountain scene painted on site or a cup on a table. It becomes an addictive practice in capturing the light and feel of a scene and converting it onto a blank space ie. canvas.
